8.4. Line power module alarms
Linepowermodulesassignedtoasystem,reportactivealarmswhicharedisplayedonthedetailspage
ofeachspecificmodule,andontheActive Alarms page.Linepowermodulealarmsfunctionthesame
asregularalarmswiththeexceptionsofsharedconfiguration,asdetailedintheprevioussection.
EachlinepowermodulehasfourchannelalarmsandaModule Failure alarm.
AModule Failure indicatesamodule-levelfailuresuchas,inputvoltage,high/low,hightemperature,orif
themodulehaslostcommunication.
AChannel Shutdown isactivatedifanychannelshutdownalertsuchas,overvoltageandgroundfault,
areactive.
BothchannelandmodulealarmsprovideanSNMPnotificationthatidentifiesthealert/conditionwhich
producedthealarm,andthephysicallocationofthemodule(bay-shelf-slot-channel).
8.5. Configure the line power system channels
Eachlinepowermodulehasfourchannelsthatcanbegivenaname,descriptionandassignedtoaload.
Allchannelsarelistedintablethatcanbesortedandsearched.Youcanalsoexportallchanneldetailsto
afile.
To configure LPS channels:
1.
GotoSystems > Line Power System > Inventory > Line Power Channels. Youwillseeatable
ofchannelsinthesystem.ThereisalsoaExport Channel Details buttontoexporttheinformation
toaCSVfile.
Channelscannotbeaddedorremoved.Itisalsopossibletoconfigurechannelsandgetdetailed
channelinformationfromSystems > Line Power System > Inventory > Line Power Modules
andselecttheGO TO buttonforthemodule.
2. SelecttheGO TO buttonforthechannelyouwanttoconfigure.
3. Inthechanneltable,assignanoptionalnameanddescription.Thismightbeachanneladdress,
wirecolor,orcustomername.
4. Inthechanneltable,assignanoptionalLine Power Load.Toassignaloaditisnecessarytofirst
createaload.RefertoConfigure the Line Power Loads.
8.6. Configure the line power system loads
Alinepowerloadrepresentstheremoteloadthatispoweredbythelinepowermodulechannels.Create
aloadwhenyouwanttomonitorandalarmseparateremoteloads.Creatingaloadallowsallchannels
thathavebeenassignedtotheloadtobepoweredonoroffasagroup.Toturnallthechannelsassigned
toaloadonoroff,usethePower On orPower Off buttonsontheConfiguration table.
Youmayaddorremoveloadsasneeded.Removingaloaddoesnotaffectthepowerdelivered.
