ThefollowingtwoexamplesillustratetheprocessofusingCustom Data forsummingloadshuntcurrents
anddetectingifinteriorairconditioningissettoolowandcreatingaUser Alarm.
22.2.6. Custom data - summing load shunts
Thefollowingexampleshowshowtocreatecustomdatathatsumsupthreeshuntcurrents,andmaps
theresulttothesystemloadinventoryitem.
1. Usethestepsinthedetailedworkflowtocreatecustomdatawhichsumsupthreevariablesto
computeavalueforthetotalloadcurrentinasystem.Whenselectingacurrentreading,itmustbe
selectedfromashuntinthesystem,notattheADIOmoduleinput.
2. TosetuptheLoad tousethisCustom Data,gotoSystems > DC System > Inventory > Loads,
thenselecttheGO TO buttonfortheLoad thatwillrepresentthesumofthethreeshunts.
3. IntheConfiguration table,selecttheEDIT buttontoedittheLoad Current Source entry,and
selecttheCustomData'sResult as Numeric.
4. Whenconfigured,theLoadCurrentSourcewillusethecustomdatacreatedinstep1whichwill
displaythesummedcurrentofthethreeshuntsononeload.
Theloadcurrentnowcorrectlyshowsthesumofthethreeshunts.
22.2.7. Custom data - AC cooling too low user alarm
ThefollowingexampleshowshowtocreateaUser Alarm thatisactiveifitappearsthattheair
conditioningintheroomissettoolow.
1. Usethestepsinthedetailedworkflowtocreatecustomdatathathasanequationwhichevaluates
to“true”iftheoutdoortemperatureisgreaterthan25℃ (77℉), iftheoutdoortemperatureisgreater
thantheindoortemperature,andifthedifferenceisgreaterthan5℃ (41℉).
2. TosetupaUser Alarm tousethisCustom Data,gotoController > Programmability > User
Alarms.
3. SelectAdd Digital User Alarm,andselecttheGO TO buttontoeditthealarmdetails.
4. Configurethealarmname,relayandanyotherinformationrequired.
5. IntheUser Alarm table,selecttheEDIT buttonontheSource line,andthenselecttheCustom
Data createdtodetectifairconditioningissettoolow.
TheUser Alarm activatesiftheindoortemperatureistoolowascomparedtotheoutdoortemperature.
