To configure temperature compensation:
1. GotoSystems > DC System > System Functions > Temperature Compensation.Notethat
youmusthaveabatterydefinedintheDCSysteminordertohavethismenuitemavailableunder
System Functions.
2. Enable/disableTemp Comp in Float,Temp Comp in Equalize andTemp Comp in Absorption
3. SettheSlope basedonthebatterymanufacturer’sinformation.
4. SettheUpper Temperature Breakpoint Voltage toavaluebelowthefloatvoltage.
5. SettheLower Temperature Breakpoint Voltage toavalueabovethefloatvoltage.
6. AdjustthevaluesandenableordisabletheTemp Comp Sensor Fail andTemp Comp Voltage
Warning alarms.

TheBatteryRuntimeandHealthEstimationisusedtocalculateEstimated State of Charge during
chargesanddischarges,Estimated Battery Health fordischargesthatexceeda20percentdepthof
discharge(DOD)andEstimated Battery Runtime atalltimes.
To configure battery runtime and health estimation:

NotethatyoumusthaveabatterydefinedintheDCSysteminordertohavethismenuitem
availableunderSystem Functions.
2. IntheConfiguration table,selecttheEDIT buttontoenableordisableBattery Estimation.

SettheLoad Model.TheloadmodelhasnoaffectoncalculatingEstimated State of Charge or
Estimated Battery Health butithasasignificantimpactoncalculatingtheEstimated Battery
Runtime.
a. Withtheconstantcurrentmodel,theloadcurrentisexpectedtostaythesameastheload
voltagedecreases.
b. Withtheresistivemodel,theloadcurrentisexpectedtodecreaseastheloadvoltage
decreases.
c. Withtheconstantpowermodel,theloadcurrentisexpectedtoincreaseastheloadvoltage
decreases.
4. SettheBattery LVD.IfthereisnoBLVD,thiscanbeleftunknown.
