UsingtheSyslogmessageformat,thecontrollerwillcurateamessagewiththefollowing:
1. InSyslogmessageformat,theAppNameistheCXCHP[Version].
2. InSyslogmessageformat,theMsgIdarethespecifictypesofeventsgeneratedbythecontroller.
Theseeventscategoriesare:ConfigurationEvent,ControllerEvent,AlarmEvent,andModuleEvent.
Tofindthesegeneratedeventsonthecontrollerwebinterface,gotoLogs > Events & Alerts.
a. AConfigurationEvent canbegeneratedwhenconfigurationonthecontrollerchanges.
b. AControllerEvent canbegeneratedwhenanyaction,statetransitions,oranyeventthat
doesnotfallintotheotherthreecategories.
c. AnAlarmEvent canbegeneratedwhenanyalarmisactivatedordeactivated.
d. AModuleEvent canbegeneratediftransitionsoccuronamodule.
3. AlleventtypeswillalwayshaveaseveritylevelofInformationbesidesAlarmEvent.
4. AnAlarmEvent hasaseveritylevelthatcanchange.Thischangeisbasedonthespecificalarms
priorityconfigurationonthecontroller.Thealarmprioritiesonthecontrolleraremappedtothe
severitiesofSyslog.Themappingscanbefoundinthefollowingtable.
5. IntheSyslogmessageformat,thecontrollereventmessagewillhavetheformatof"[Source]:
SourceoftheEvent,[Name]:NameoftheEvent,[Value]:ValueoftheEvent".
