TherearetwomainstepsrequiredtoaddanewagenttoyourSNMPsystem:
• ConfiguretheagentwiththeIPaddressofyourSNMPmanager(telltheagenttosendinformation
tothemanager).
• Compiletheagent'sManagementInformationBases(MIBs)intothemanager(tellthemanager
howtointerpretinformationsentbytheagent).
Configure an IP address to receive notifications
ConfiguringanIPaddressfornotificationsisreferredtoasSubscribing to Notification Services.Upto
tenIPaddressescanbeconfigured.SNMPmonitoringsystemsneedtocompileandinstalltheALPHA-
NOTIFICATION-MIB.PleaserefertotheuserguideoftheSNMPmanagerforthisprocess.
ForeachofthetenSNMPnotificationsaddresses,theusercanselecttheaddressandselecttheGO TO
buttontoseemoredetailsaboutthatparticularmonitoringdestination,andtoeditdetails.

To setup Modbus TCP/IP on the controller, you need to enable the Modbus server via the web
interface:
1. GotoController > Communication > Modbus.
2. IntheConfiguration table,enabletheModbusAgent.
3. SelecttheEDIT buttonontheInternet Protocol line,andthenselecttheinternetprotocoltobe
used.
4. SelecttheEDIT buttonontheByte Order line,andthenselectthebyteorder.
5. LimitedDataSetDeviceIDsarenormallyleftasthedefaultvalues.
