Whenmaintainingyourmodulesalwayscheckforknownissueswithinthereadmefilethatshipswithyour
software.Thissectionofthemanualcoversthefollowing:

21.1. ADIO peripheral maintenance
TolocateconnectedADIOdevicesgotoModules,intheCAN Modules tablefindthedeviceyouwantto
locateandthenselectLocate button.TheLEDsontheselectedADIOmodulewillflash.
21.1.1. Configure an ADIO peripheral
To configure an ADIO peripheral:
1. ToviewstatusofinputsandoutputsgotoModules andselectanADIO.
2. Toconfigureadigitalinput,selecttheGO TO buttonfortheselecteddigitalinput.Activewhencan
beconfiguredasEnergized orNot Energized.
3. Toconfigurearelay,selecttheGO TO Buttonfortheselectedrelay.Normalpositionofthe
relaycanbesettoEnergized orNot Energized.Arelaycanalsobesettode-energizeif
communicationislostbetweenthecontrollerandtheADIOmodule.Todothis,settheComms
Lost Action toDe-Energize on Comms Lost.Thisfeaturewasaddedincontrollersoftware
version6.10andrequiresup-todatefirmwareontheADIOmodule.Thisfeaturecannotbeused
onrelaysthatareusedforcontrolfunctions,likedisconnects.
4. Tochangethecalibration,selecttheGO TO buttonfortheselectedanaloginput.Youmustbe
loggedinasanAdministratortolaunchtheFactory Calibration wizard.
5. TheComms Lost Timeout shouldnormallyleftatthedefaultvalue.Itisonlyusedinadvanced
configurationswitharedundantcontrollerandADIOmodule.
21.1.2. Replace an ADIO peripheral
ADIOmoduleshavealotofconfigurationandoftenhavemanylinkstothingssuchasthesystemvoltage
oralarmrelays.BecausesomuchconfigurationistiedtoanADIOmodule,thereisacommandfor
replacingtheADIOmodulethatretainsallofitsconfiguration.
To replace an ADIO peripheral:
1. GotoModules.
2.
UsetheLocate buttontofindthetwoADIOmodules,theoldone(tobereplaced)andthenew
one.Itmaybeusefultonotethetwoserialnumbers,intheidentitycolumn,iftherearemultiple
ADIOmodulesinthelist.
TheLocatebuttonwillonlyworkonADIOmodulesthathave“Normal”Communicationstatus.
