1. ConnectanEthernetcabletothefrontorrearportofthecontrollerandyourcomputer.Your
computermustalsobeconfiguredtoallowIPv6addressestobeused.
2. UsetheLCDtodeterminetheIPv6addressthathasbeenautomaticallyconfigured.TheIP
addressshouldusethecolon-hexadecimalformat:fe80::wwww:xxxx:yyyy:zzzz
3. EnterthisIPv6addressintotheaddressbarofyourwebbrowserandselectenter.ThewebLogin
screendisplays.
Direct connection with default static IPv4 address
ContactyourITdepartmentifyouareunsureofhowtodothis.

mustbeconfiguredwithastaticIPaddress(forexample,10.10.10.202)andsubnet(forexample,
255.255.255.0).

UsetheLCDtoverifythattheIPaddressforthefrontportissimilartoyourcomputer’sIPaddress
(forexample,10.10.10.201).

Enterthecontroller’sIPaddress(forexample,http://10.10.10.201)intotheaddressbarofyour
webbrowserandselectenter.TheLogin webpagedisplays.
4.2.1. In-shelf controller
Somesystemsmayhaveanin-shelfcontrollerdisplay.Theydonotrequirealogin.Thedisplayenables
youtoexecuteasetofcommandsmuchliketheLCDonthe2RUcontroller.
Fromthedashboard,usetheSelect buttontoenteramenu.Whenyouenteramenu,thetopitemis
highlighted.TogotoanothermenuscrollthroughusingtheForward andBack buttons.Toexecutea
highlightedmenuitem,selecttheSelect button.
TosetadefaultsystemordisableUSBmaintenanceactionsgotoController > Settings > User
Interface > In-Shelf Controller Display Preferencestablefromthewebinterface.
4.3. Navigating the controller user interface
BoththewebinterfaceandtheLCDdashboardprovideasummaryofsystem,controllerandalarm
information.WhenyoulogintothewebinterfaceortheLCD,thedashboardprovidesanat-a-glanceview
oftheoverallsystems.
4.3.1. Log into the controller
YoucanlogintothecontrollerviatheLCDorthewebinterface.
IftheIPaddresshasnotbeenconfigured,seetheprevioussection,Connect to the controller.
