23.1.3. Home button or LCD screen not responding
IfthecontrollerisnotrespondingtotouchortheHome buttonisnotrespondingtotouch,youcanperform
acontrollerreset.
Important: Pressing the reset button does not ensure that the settings are saved.

To perform a hardware reset: Fromthefrontofthecontroller,selecttheresetbutton.
23.1.4. Controller fail
Thecontrollerhasarelaythatcanbeusedtoindicatethecontrollerpowerhasfailed.Thisrelayislabeled
Alarm andislocatedbesidethepowerconnector.In-shelfversionsofthecontrollerdonothavethisrelay.
Whenthecontrollerisoperational,therelayisinthenormallyopen(NO)position.Whenthecontroller
powerhasfailedthisrelayisinthenormallyclosed(NC)position.Ifvoltageisappliedtothepower
connectorandtheAlarm relayisinthenormallyclosed(NC)positionandthecontrollerdoesnotstartup,
itislikelythecontrollerhasfailedandshouldbereplaced.
In-shelfcontrollers(forexample,Cordex®CXCiHPcontroller)donothaveadedicatedcontrollerfail
relay.Failureofanin-shelfcontrollermayresultinrelaysbecomingde-energized.Thesede-energized
relaysfunctionasacontrollerfailrelay.
Notice: The controller fail relay is not programmable in any way.

FailureofthecontrollerinsidetheFXMHPruggedUPSmodulemaynotresultinanyrelaybecomingde-
energizedsincetherelaysareonaseparate,independentCANmodule.
