5.3.13.2. Add battery temperature values manually
To add and configure battery temperature sensors manually from the battery string pages:
1. GotoSystems > DC System > Inventory > Battery.Selectonthedetailsofanindividualbattery
string.
2. OntheTemperatures table,selectAdd Temperature Value.Thetablewillbepopulatedwitha
newlinefortemperaturevalue.
3. SelecttheGO TO buttonontheright-sideofthelineforthenewtemperaturevalue.
4. Anewpagedisplayswithinformationaboutthenewtemperaturevalue.IntheConfiguration table
youcanenteranoptionalnameanddescriptionifdesired.
5. ItismandatorytoselectaBattery Temperature Source forthetemperaturevalue.SelecttheGO
TO buttonandselectthedesiredtemperatureinput.Thedropdownlistdisplaysalltemperature
inputspresentonallADIOmodules.
6. IntheStatus table,verifythatthetemperatureisnowreadingatemperaturevalue.
7. Repeatthesestepsforeachtemperaturevaluerequired.Whenfinishednavigatebacktothe
Battery page.
Enablethetemperaturesensoralarmsasneeded.
8. GotoModules.SelecteachADIOmoduleyouareusing,andthenviewtheAlarms table.Forthe
temperaturesensoryouareusing,verifythattheTemperature Sensor Failure Alarm isenabled.
IntheTemperatures table,youshouldnowseealistoftemperaturevalues.ThebatteryStatus table
shouldshowtheminimum,averageandmaximumtemperaturevaluesasdeterminedfromthelist
oftemperatures.ThebatteryStatus tableattheoverallbatterylevelwillalsocontaintheminimum,
maximum,average,andactivetemperaturesacrossalltemperaturessensorswithinthebattery,including
alltemperaturesforboththestringsandthebatteryitself.AttheDCSystemlevel,batterytemperature
shouldnowshowavalidreadingontheSystems > DC System > Status page.
5.3.14. Configure the charging system function
Thereisnowaytoturnoffbatterychargingviathecontroller,butyoucancontrolthebulkandabsorption
stages.
Youcanenableanddisablechargecurrentcontrol(CCC)inthebulkchargingstage.Forexample,ina
situationwheremultiplepowersystemsareconnectedtotheDCbusandadecreaseincurrentonone
systemwouldresultinanincreaseincurrentonthesecondsystemyoumaywanttodisableCCC.CCC
