ACordex®CXPS-HSSHyperboostconvertersystemtakesaDCinputvoltage48Vandconvertsittoa
differentoutputvoltage58V.AHyperboostsystemprovidesflexibilitythatallowsyoutomaintainasingle
voltagebatterysystem.ConvertersprovideDC-DCpowerconversion(forexample,from–48Vto–58V)
toproduceaconsistentvoltagesourceforequipmentthatisnotcompatiblewiththeprimaryplantvoltage.
Converterscanbeusedtocreatedualvoltagecapabilityinnewsystemsor upgradestoexistingDC
plants.Theyprovidetightvoltageregulationforsensitiveloadsaswellasgalvanicisolation.

AHyperboostsystemconsistsofaDCsource,convertersandaloadasshowninthefollowingdiagram.
ConvertersshouldhavededicatedfuseorcircuitbreakerpositionsonthemainDCpowersystemfor
protectionandisolation.

Create System wizard.Inthecurrentrelease,morethanoneHyperboostsystemaresupported.
YoucanalsoimportaconfigurationfilecontainingaHyperboostsystemfromanothercontroller.
AnewpowersystemcanbecreatedfromthecontrollerLCDorthewebinterface,viatheSystems > Add
or Remove Systems menu.Bothhavewizardassistancetohelpstepyouthroughtheprocesstocreate
thenewsystem.Youcancreatea48V-58Vsystem.Whenthesystemiscreated,anassociatedloadis
alsocreated.
