5.3.10. Configure the system disconnects
Bydefaultthesystemhasonedisconnect.Youcanaddorremovedisconnectsasneeded.
Therearetwotypesofnon-latchingdisconnect,alegacydisconnect,andageneralpurposedisconnect,
buteachareconfiguredasfollows:
1. GotoSystems > DC System > Inventory > Disconnects andselecttheCreate Disconnect
buttontolaunchtheCreate Disconnect wizard.
2. Bothtypesofdisconnectshaveaname,voltagedisconnect,andconnectthresholdsanda
relaytomap.Thewizardforthegeneralpurposedisconnecthasthreeextraconfigurationsthat
canbeusedtocustomizethebehaviorofthedisconnect:Allow Disconnect During Battery
Test,Require AC Input For Reconnect,Required Time to Stay Disconnected.Theseextra
configurationsaremostusefulwhensettingupaloadsheddingdisconnect.
3. Whenthewizardiscompletethedisconnectisfunctionalbutwon’thaveanycustomizations
requiredforalarming,orloadshedding.Iffurtherconfigurationisrequired,selecttheGO TO button
tocontinueconfiguration.
4. IntheDigital Inputs for Alarms configurationtable,assignthedigitalinputsthatareusedto
monitorthestateofthephysicalcontactor.
5. IntheAlarms table,configurethealarms.

Forthelegacydisconnect,itispossibletoconfigurethefollowingadditionaldisconnectoptions:
◦ Disconnect on Time After AC Fail:Thiswillopenthedisconnectafteracertainamount
oftimewhenAChasfailed.Thisfeatureisusedwhenconfiguringadisconnectforload
shedding.
◦ Disconnect on Battery State of Charge table.Thisfeatureisusedwhenconfiguringa
disconnectforloadshedding.

Forageneralpurposedisconnect,itispossibletoconfigureuptothreeuserdefineddisconnect
andreconnectconditions.Anoptionaldisconnectconditionisconfiguredthewayasanoptional
reconnectcondition:
