23.1. Troubleshoot the controller

23.1.1. No communication
Checkallconnectioncables.
Checkthecontrollersettings,gotoController > Communication > Ethernet.
Ensurethatthecontrollerisconfiguredtocommunicateviathewebinterface.SeeGetting started and
Setting up controller communication.
EnsurethatbothportsintheEthernettablehavetheaddressmodeconfiguredcorrectly.
Notice: The default IPv4 configuration for the controller must have the rear Ethernet port set to
automatic (DHCP) and the front Ethernet port set to manual (static IP).
23.1.2. Unable to communicate via ethernet
Confirmthatallcablesarefirmlyconnected.
1. GotoController > Communication > Ethernet.
2. EnsurethattheIPaddresssettingsarecorrect.
3. Editthesettingsifrequired.
4. SelectSave.

Ifthatdoesnotwork,thenrestartthecontroller.
Important: Selecting the reset button restarts the controller and may result is lost data. It
is always recommend to use the controller Restart button from the menu system to ensure
any outstanding configuration changes or log data is saved to disk.
Iftheissueisnotresolved,contactyourITdepartmenttoconfirmthatboththecontrollerandthe
computercancommunicateacrossthenetwork.
