5.3.8. Configure the current transducer
Thesystem,bydefaultdoesnotcontainanycurrenttransducers.Youcanaddorremovecurrent
transducersasneeded.ToconfigureacurrenttransduceryouneedavoltageinputonanADIOmodule.
ToconfigureacurrenttransducerwithanCordex®CXCHPCT-IPMmodule,youneedashuntinputon
anADIOmodule.
To configure a current transducer:
1.
Gotothesystemwhereyouwanttoaddthetransducerandnavigatetotheinventorypage.Goto
Systems > DC System > Inventory > Other Transducers.IntheOther Transducers table,there
willbealistofcurrenttransducersinthesystem.Addorremovethemfromthispage.
YoumaybeusingacurrenttransducerwithInterface & Power Module (IPM).Thisdevicetakes
thevoltagereadingfromacurrenttransduceranddividesthereadingby50.Thefactoredvoltage
readingisthensenttotheCordex®CXCHPL-ADIOperipheralshuntinput.
2. SelecttheGO TO buttonfortheCurrent Transducer youwishtoconfigure.
3. IntheConfiguration table,selectConfigure Current Transducer tolaunchthewizardand
completeeachsteptoconfigurethetransducer.
4. EntertheMeasurement Range inamps.
5. EntertheRange in Volts.
6. SelectCT Current Source.Thiscanbeanyvoltagesource.
7. Optional:entertheOffset calibrationfortheCurrent Transducer ifthereadingerroristoolowor
high.

Thesystem,bydefaultdoesnotcontainanygeneralpurposetransducers.Youcanaddorremove
generalpurposetransducersasneeded.Toconfigureageneralpurposetransduceryouneedavoltage
inputonanADIOmodule.
To configure a general purpose transducer:
1. Gotothesystemwhereyouwanttoaddthetransducerandnavigatetotheinventorypage.Goto
Systems > DC System > Inventory > Other Transducers.IntheGeneral Purpose Transducers
table,therewillbealistofgeneralpurposetransducersinthesystem.Addorremovethemfrom
thispage.
2. SelecttheGO TO buttonfortheGeneral Purpose Transducer youwanttoconfigure.
3. IntheConfiguration tableassignanameandadescription.
4. SelectTransducer Input Source.Thiscanbeanyvoltagesourceoracustomdata.
5. EntertheTransducer Input Minimum in Volts andTransducer Input Maximum in Volts.
6. EntertheTransducer Output Minimum andTransducer Output Maximum.
7. SelectUnits and Precision.
8. Optional:EntertheOffset calibrationforthecalculatedValue ifthereadingerroristoolowor
