Thereareseveraltextfieldsassociatedwithapanel,whichtheusermayfindusefultofurtherdescribe
thepanel,suchasDescription,FuseNumber,FuseSize,andFuseMaximumAmperage.Theseare
optionalandmaybefilledinbytheuserifdesired.
Therearethreealarmsprovidedoneachpanel:Breaker Trip,Loss of Feed,andOver Current.Ona
userdefinedsubsystem,thresholdsforthesealarmsaresetasapplicable.TheBreaker Trip alarmis
notathresholdalarm;itiscalculatedbasedontheBreaker/Fuse Source setforthepanel.Onasmart
subsystem,alarmscomedirectlyfromtheADIOmoduleandthresholdsmustbesetontheADIOmodule.
AconceptspecifictotheBDFBdistributionsystemislinkingpanels.Panelsmaybelinkeduptothepanel
above,orlinkeddowntothepanelbelow,basedontheloads.Theymayalsobesetblankifunused.
Whenoneormorepanelsarelinked,onemuststillbedesignatedastheshunt,andtheothersare
configuredaslinked.Thevoltageandcurrentmeasurementsaretakenfromtheshuntpanelonly.The
breakertripsarestillmonitoredonalllinkedpanels.Theconfigurationofpanelsasshunt,linkedup,
linkeddown,orblankmustbedoneviatheCordex®SmartBDFBiADIOmodule.Thecontrolleronly
reportsthedetails.
To configure panel details:
1. GotoSystems > Distribution System > Subsystems,andselecttheGO TO buttonforthe
subsystemthatcontainsthepanelstoconfigure.
2. EntertheSubsystem Details menu.

IntheDownstream Loads table,selecttheGO TO buttonforthepaneltoconfigure.
Notice: Note that in smart subsystems, the configuration is done automatically via ADIO
module.
4. IntheConfiguration table,editthedetailsofthepanel.
10.7. Configure the breaker or fuse details
Inadistributionsystem,abreakerorfuserepresentsadownstreamloadofapanel.Breaker/fuse
configurationcanbeaccesseddirectlyunderthesubsystem,orfromthepanelinwhichitresides.
WithintheBreaker/Fuseconfiguration,thereareanumberoftextfieldsthatcanbeusedtobetter
describeanddefinethebreakers.ThesecannotbeobtainedfromtheADIOmoduleinanyautomatic
way.Theyneedtobeconfiguredmanually.ThesefieldsincludeaDescription,Usage,Size,AWG,and
Destination fieldforeachbreaker.Manuallyeditingallofthesefieldsisalotofworkforlargesystems.
Themosteffectivewaytodothisistodownloadandeditthefieldsinspreadsheetformat.Thismakesit
easytocutandpaste,usemacros,orreuseenteredtextforotherpurposes(suchasprintinglabels).
Notice: The input source of the breaker is set automatically because the value is constrained by
physical wiring on the panel. Although the field is editable, it will be set back to the correct value if
it is manually changed. This is true for Smart E2 subsystems only.
