Functions assumethatthecontrolledrectifiersandmanagedbatteriesaretheonlysourceofpoweron
theDCbus.ThoseSystem Functions workbestwitheitherasinglerectifiermodelormodelsthathave
beendesignedtoworktogethersuchas,theCordex®1.8kWandtheCordex®HP2.0kWrectifiers,or
theCordex®3.6kWandtheCordex®HP4.0kWrectifiers.
Mixingofotherrectifiertypesisnotrecommended.Ifyouneedtomixothersizesandtypesofrectifiers
youmanyneedtoturnoffsomeoftheSystem Functions fortheDCSystem.Seeyoursystemmanual
orcontactTechnicalSupportifyouencounterthissituationanddonothaveinstructionsonhowtosetup
theSystem Functions.

Thecontrollerappliesatypicalthree-stagechargingcycleincludingBulk Charging,Absorption Charging,
andConditioning whichissometimescalledfloatcharging.

Bulk charging
Afterthebulkchargingstage,thebatteryshouldbeina70to90percentstateofcharge.Onthe
Systems > DC System > System Functions > Charging page,inthePrimary Charge Current Control
table,youcanenableanddisablechargecurrentcontrolandsetthechargecurrentlimit(C/X)inhours.
CAUTION: If you do not set a charge current limit, the battery may be charged at a much higher
rate than is recommended by the battery manufacturer.
