Check Main Drive Harness continuity.
1. Disconnect P/J8335 and P/J8304.
2. Check for continuity at the following:
P/J8335-1 <=> P/J8304-7
P/J8335-2 <=> P/J8304-8
P/J8335-3 <=> P/J8304-9
P/J8335-4 <=> P/J8304-11
P/J8335-5 <=> P/J8304-10
P/J8335-6 <=> P/J8304-13
Are these conductive?
Go to Step 17. Repair the Main
Drive Harness.

Check Registration Motor resistance.
Is there some amount of resistance
across P8335-2/5(COM) and P8335-1/3/
4/6?
Go to Step 18. Replace the
Registration
Motor

page 3-245).

Check for +24 V to the Registration Motor.
Is there +24 V across J8304-8 <=>
ground and J8304-10 <=> ground on the
Finisher Main PWB?
Go to Step 19. Replace the
Finisher Main
PWB

page 3-248).

Replace the Registration Motor.
Print a Test Print.
Does the error still occur?
Replace the
Finisher Main
PWB
(
page 3-248).
Problem solved.

Test the Compile Exit Sensor.
Run the Service Diagnostics Compile Exit
Sensor test.
Does the sensor state change?
Replace the
Finisher Main
PWB
(
page 3-248).
Go to Step 21.

connection.
Are P/J8320 and P/J8391 connected?
Go to Step 23. Connect and go
to Step 22.

Go to Step 25. Connect and go

Are these conductive?
Go to Step 26. Repair the
Compiler
