In terms of the faults of wheel speed sensor, they are caused in general by the following reasons:
Wheel speed sensor;
Wheel speed sensor harness;
Harness connector;
Gear rim of ABS control unit;
ECU joint;
After the fault codes deleted, accelerate the speed up to ca.15km/h and the ABS control unit runs in
sound state, the ABS control unit shouldn’t be replaced.
Faults of wheel speed sensor

Wheel speed sensor or its signal fault.
1. Wheel speed sensor;
2. Wrong connection of wheel speed sensor;
3. Interference on the signal of wheel speed sensor;
4. Too large clearance between the wheel speed sensor and gear
rim(the mounting bolt of wheel speed sensor loosened and
the sensor displaced due to the vibration);
5. Wheel speed sensor and holder corroded;
6. Fault of gear rim(dirt, teeth on the gear rim damaged)
Connection fault of wheel speed sensor
1. The connector defected, dirty or wet;
2. The connection and plugging of wheel speed sensor loosened
or broken;
3. The sensor line short-circuited with the grounding;
4. The isolation layer of sensor connection damaged
The wheel speed sensor tests the wheel speed and feeds the relevant signal to the ECU of ABS control
unit. These signals are designated to control the work of ABS control unit.
