Overview of Connecting the T640 Router to External Devices
After you have grounded the T640 Core Router, you can connect the following external
devices:
•
An external console or auxiliary device to the CONSOLE ports on the Connector Interface
Panel (CIP).

A laptop, modem, or other auxiliary device to the AUXILIARY ports on the Connector
Interface Panel (CIP).

A management network to the ETHERNET ports on the Connector Interface Panel
(CIP).
