The front electrostatic discharge point is located near the bottom of the CIP. The CIP is
located at the left side of the FPC card cage.
The CIP is hot-pluggable.
Management Ports
The CIP has two sets of ports that you use to connect the Routing Engines to external
management devices. From these management devices, you can use the CLI to configure
the router.
