3. Click "Generate Signal RAM".
A test signal waveform file is created with the set number of samples.
4. Close the dialog.
The waveform file is loaded to the "ARB > General > Load Waveform" selection. By
default, the filename is awgn_test_signal_a with file extension *.wv.
5. To monitor waveform properties, click "Waveform Info".
The clock frequency f
clock
is 100 MHz per default. You can change it, see the next
step.
6. Optionally, adjust the clock frequency f
clock
. The bandwidth of the resulting noise
signal is approximately 0.96 * f
clock
.
Example: A clock frequency f
clock
of 100 MHz results in a noise signal bandwidth of
about 0.96 * f
clock
= 96 MHz.
7. Select "ARB > State > On" and "RF > On".
