"Fixed"
The I/Q signal components settings are predefined fix values:
●
"Bias (EMF)" = "Offset (EMF)" = 0V
●
"I/Q Level Vp (EMF)"
– Single ended mode: "I/Q Level Vp (EMF)" = 1 V
– Differential mode: "I/Q Level Vp (EMF)" = 2 V
"Variable"
Option: R&S SMW-K16/-K17
Enables modification of the I/Q signal components settings.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:IQ:OUTPut[:ANALog]:MODE on page 1142
I/Q Level Vp EMF
In "Mode > Variable", sets the output voltage for the I and Q signal components.
The value range is adjusted so that the maximum overall output voltage does not
exceed 4V, see "Maximum overall output voltage" on page 184.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:IQ:OUTPut:LEVel on page 1142
Couple I/Q Bias
In "Variable Mode", couples the bias setting of the I signal and the Q signal component.
With activated coupling, the settings of the I signal component automatically apply to
the Q signal component.
If R&S SMW-B9 is installed, the components are always coupled.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:IQ:OUTPut[:ANALog]:BIAS:COUPling[:STATe] on page 1142
Bias (EMF)
If a bias is enabled, a DC voltage is superimposed upon the I or Q signal.
If R&S SMW-B9 is installed, both paths use the same "Bias" value.
Effect of a positive bias Effect of a negative bias
In "Single Ended" mode, this parameter defines the bias between the output signal and
ground. It can be used to define the operating point of a DUT.
The value range is adjusted so that the maximum overall output voltage does not
exceed 4V, see "Maximum overall output voltage" on page 184.
Remote command:
[:SOURce<hw>]:IQ:OUTPut[:ANALog]:BIAS:I on page 1143
[:SOURce<hw>]:IQ:OUTPut[:ANALog]:BIAS:Q on page 1143
