3 Getting started
3.1 Preparing for use
Here, you can find basic information about setting up the instrument for the first time or
when changing the operating site.
3.1.1 Lifting and carrying
See: "Lifting and carrying the instrument" on page 18.
3.1.2 Unpacking and checking
1. Unpack the product carefully.
2. Retain the original packing material. Use it when transporting or shipping the prod-
uct later.
3. Using the delivery notes, check the equipment for completeness.
4. Check the equipment for damage.
If the delivery is incomplete or equipment is damaged, contact Rohde & Schwarz.

The delivery package contains the following items:

R&S RTM3000 oscilloscope

R&S RT-ZP05 probes (2x for R&S RTM3002; 4x for R&S RTM3004)
●
Country-specific power cable
●
Printed "Getting Started" manual

tilingual) brochure
3.1.3 Choosing the operating site
Specific operating conditions ensure proper operation and avoid damage to the prod-
uct and connected devices. For information on environmental conditions such as ambi-
ent temperature and humidity, see the data sheet.
