itwillstarttooverwritetheoldestdata,thuscreatinga"ringbuffer".These
imagescanberecalledusingtheHistoryinformationpane.Theinformationin
theHistorypresentationisthesameasontheoriginalechogrampresentation.Toopen
theHistoryinformationpane,selectthebuttononthetopbar.

DonotconfusetheRecordfunctionwiththeautomaticHistoryfunction.Unlessyou
reallyneedtorecordrawdataforplaybackpurposes,youshouldusethisfunctionwith
care.Thedataleswillllyouharddiskveryfast!TheHistoryfunctionsavesthe
echogramimages
automaticallyontheProcessorUnitharddiskTheseimagescanbe
recalledusingtheHistoryinformationpane.TheinformationintheHistorypresentation
isthesameasontheoriginalechogrampresentation.
Rawdataleswillnormallybecomeverylarge.Ifyouwishtorecordlargeamounts
ofES80data,makesurethatyouhaveenoughspaceonyourharddisk.Unlessyour
ProcessorUnitisequippedwithaverylargedisk,werecommendthatyousavethe
datatoanexternalstoragedevice.

2Tostartdatarecording,opentheRecordbutton,andselectOn.
Alternatively,simplyselecttheredcircleontherightsideofthebutton.
TheRecordindicatoronthetopbarchangesitscolourtoreectthatrecording
isactive.
