A"historyle"isrecordedautomaticallyandcontinuously.Whentheleisfull,
itwillstarttooverwritetheoldestdata,thuscreatinga"ringbuffer".These
imagescanberecalledusingtheHistoryinformationpane.Theinformationin
theHistorypresentationisthesameasontheoriginalechogrampresentation.Toopen
theHistoryinformationpane,selectthebuttononthetopbar.
Note
DonotconfusetheRecordfunctionwiththeautomaticHistoryfunction.Unlessyou
reallyneedtorecordrawdataforplaybackpurposes,youshouldusethisfunctionwith
care.Thedataleswillllyouharddiskveryfast!TheHistoryfunctionsavesthe
echogramimages
automaticallyontheProcessorUnitharddiskTheseimagescanbe
recalledusingtheHistoryinformationpane.TheinformationintheHistorypresentation
isthesameasontheoriginalechogrampresentation.
Rawdataleswillnormallybecomeverylarge.Ifyouwishtorecordlargeamounts
ofES80data,makesurethatyouhaveenoughspaceonyourharddisk.Unlessyour
ProcessorUnitisequippedwithaverylargedisk,werecommendthatyousavethe
datatoanexternalstoragedevice.
Procedure
1OpentheOperationmenu.
2Tostartdatarecording,opentheRecordbutton,andselectOn.
Alternatively,simplyselecttheredcircleontherightsideofthebutton.
TheRecordindicatoronthetopbarchangesitscolourtoreectthatrecording
isactive.

3Ifyouwishtoreducethesizeofthedataleyouarerecording,clickthemiddle
oftheRecordbuttontoopenit,andselectSplitFile.
Thecurrentleisclosed,andanewleisautomaticallystarted.
4Tostoprecording,opentheRecordbutton,andselectOff.
Alternatively,selecttheblackrectangleontheleftsideofthebuttontostopthe
recording.
