Beforeyoucanchangetheoperationalparametersforaview,youmust
clickinside
theviewtomakeit"active".Thechangesyoumakearebydefaultonlyvalidfor
the"active"view.Observethattheborderlinesofthe"active"viewaredrawn
withathickerline.
SomefunctionsofferanApplytoAllchoice.Ifyouenablethis,thechosensettingis
appliedtoalltheviewssimultaneously.
Checkingtransceiverandtransducersettings
InordertousetheES80,theProcessorUnitmustbeconnectedtooneormore
transceivers,andeachofthemmustinturnbeconnectedtooneormoretransducers.
Eachchannelmustbeinstalledbeforeitcanbeputtouse.Inthiscontext,thephrase
channelisusedasacommontermtoidentifythecombinationoftransceiver,transducer
andoperatingfrequency.Itisoftenusefultoverifythatallthechannelsareproperly
setup.ThisisarequirementfortheES80performance.
Prerequisites
TheES80isinstalledasspeciedintheES80Installationmanual.TheES80isturned
on,anditisworkingnormally.MinimumoneWideBandTransceiver(WBT)withone
ormoretransducershasbeenconnected.
Context
IfyouareusingaES80thathasbeeninuseforsometime,youcansafelyassumethat
thetransceiversandtransducershavebeensetupproperly.However,theprocedure
mayproveusefulifyouareaninexperienceduser.Makesurethatyoudonotchange
anyimportantsettings.

changesmadeonapage.Youmustdothisbefore
youcontinueworkingonadifferent
page.

1Verifythatthecurrentlyconnectedtransducer(s)areshownas"tabs"atthebottom
oftheES80presentation.
2OpentheSetupmenu.
3OntheSetupmenu,selectInstallation.
ObservethattheInstallationdialogboxopens.Thisdialogboxcontainsanumber
ofpagesselectedfromthemenuontheleftside.
