TheES80needsoneormoresoftwarelicensestowork.Eachsoftwarelicensecode
"unlocks"oneWideBandTransceiver(WBT)foroperationalusewithasetofpredened
properties.TheSoftwareLicensesettingsallowyoutotypealicensecode(textstring)to
unlocktheES80functionality.
Prerequisites
TheInstallationdialogboxisnotavailablewhenyourES80issettoReplaymode.
Howtoopen
ThispageislocatedintheInstallationdialogbox.Toopen,selectitontheSetupmenu.
Description
Thesoftwarelicenseisa32characterhexadecimalstringbasedonthetransceiver’sserial
number.Itdenesseveralkeyparametersthatcontrolthefunctionalityandbehaviour
ofthetransceiver(s)youuse.Eachsoftwarelicensecode"unlocks"oneWideBand
Transceiver(WBT)foroperationalusewithasetofpredenedproperties.
ThesoftwarelicenseisnotlinkedtothephysicalProcessorUnit.Youcantherefore
easilymovethesoftwarefromonecomputertoanother,justremembertomakeacopy
ofthelicensestring.
InordertoobtainasoftwarelicenseyoumustcontactaSimraddealerordistributor.You
canalsousetherequestformonhttp://www.simrad.com/support,orcontactoursupport
departmentdirectly.

Onceyoureceiveyoursoftwarelicensestring(s),donotlosethem.Wesuggestthatyou
copytheinformationintoatextle(forexampleNotepad),andaddrelevantinformation.
