buttonontheActivemenu.Toopenthepage,youcanalsoselectSetupintheDepth
informationpane.
3SetMinimumDepthandMaximumDepthtovaluestforthedepthatyourcurrent
location.
TheMinimumDepthsettingeliminatesallunwantedbottomdetectionsfromthe
transducerfaceanddowntothedepthyouhavechosen.
SettheMaximumDepthtoapproximately50%morethantheexpecteddepth.
Ifyousetmaximumdepthtoavalueidenticalorsmallerthantheminimumvalue,
thebottomdetectionalgorithmwillbedisabled.TheES80willnotdetectthe
bottomatall,andthedisplayeddepthwillbe0.00m.
Tip
Ifyouhaveproblemswithbottomdetection,youmayconsiderdisablingit.Thiscan
beusefulifyouonlywishtostudytargetsinthewatercolumn.
4SelectOKtosavetheselectedsettingsandclosethedialogbox.
Result
IftheES80shouldloosebottomdetectionduetoairorotherdisturbances,itwilltryto
relocatethedepthwithintheminimumandmaximumdepthsyouhavedened.
