•TheMinimumDepthsettingeliminatesallunwantedbottomdetectionsfromthe
transducerfaceanddowntothedepthyouhavechosen.
•SettheMaximumDepthtoapproximately50%morethantheexpecteddepth.
Ifyousetmaximumdepthtoavalueidenticalorsmallerthantheminimumvalue,
thebottomdetectionalgorithmwillbedisabled.TheES80willnotdetectthe
bottomatall,andthedisplayeddepthwillbe0.00m.
Tip
Ifyouhaveproblemswithbottomdetection,youmayconsiderdisablingit.Thiscan
beusefulifyouonlywishtostudytargetsinthewatercolumn.
