Context
Thephysicalsizeofeachechogramviewcanbechangedindividually.Thecontentin
aviewthatchangessizewillautomaticallybeadjustedtotakefulladvantageofthe
spaceavailable.Themodicationsyoumakeareerasedwhenyouselectoneofthe
tabsonthebottombar.
Tip
Whentwoormoreechogramsareshown,youcanusetheLayoutdialogboxtodecidein
whichorder-fromtoptobottomorlefttoright-youwishtoseetheechogramchannels.
ThebottombarintheES80presentationallowsyoutoselectwhichechogramviews
youwishtosee,andhowtheseareorganized.Thenumberoftabsavailableonthe
bottombardependsonhowmanychannelsyourES80has.Inthiscontext,thephrase
channelisusedasacommontermtoidentifythecombinationoftransceiver ,transducer
andoperatingfrequency.
Procedure
1Movethecursortotheborderlinebetweentwoechogramviews.
Observethatthecursorchangesitsshape;itnowappearsastwoparallellineswith
arrowspointingsidewaysorup/down.
2Changethesizeoftheview.
aClickontheleftmousebutton,andkeepitdepressed.
bMovethemouse-orrollthecontrolwheel-andobservethattheborder
linemoves.
cReleasethemousebuttonwhentheborderlinehasbeenmovedtodesired
position.
Deningtheping(transmission)modes
YoucaneasilycontrolhowoftentheES80shalltransmitacousticenergy(a"ping")
intothewater.Youcandisablethetransmissionaltogether,setittooperateasfastas
possible,orselectatimedinterval.
Context
OncepingingisOn,usethePingModefunctiontochoosehowoftentheES80shall
transmit.Thisfunctionallowsyoutocontrolthebehaviorofthetransmissions
("pinging").
•IfyouchooseSinglePing,youcantransmitsinglepingsbyclickingthepingsymbol
onthePingbutton.
