ontheechogramifthisfeatureisenabledintheEchogramdialogbox.Youcanadd
annotationsmanually,orimportinformationasdatagramsusingaserialorLAN
(Ethernet)communicationport.
Prerequisites
Thisprocedureassumesthat:
•YouhaveavacantinterfaceportonyourProcessorUnit.
•YouarefamiliarwithNMEAandotherrelevantdatagramformats.
•Youknowhowtosetuptheparametersforserialandlocalareanetwork(LAN)
communication.
•Theinterfaceportissetupwiththecorrectcommunicationparameters.
Context
TheSensorInstallationpageallowsyourES80tocommunicatewithexternalsensors
andsystems.Youmustspecifywhichcommunicationporttouse(LAN(LocalArea
Network)orserialport).Youcantypeacustomnametoidentifythesensorimport.In
thelistofvaliddatagramformats,selecttheformat(s)tobeacceptedbytheES80.

JustmakingchangesandselectingOKatthebottomofthepagewillnotinstallanything.
Selectwhattoinstall,denetherelevantparameters,andthenselectAdd.
Procedure
1Connecttheperipheralsystemprovidingtheannotationstoanavailable
communicationportonyourProcessorUnit.
ThisisdescribedintheES80Installationmanual.
2OntheSetupmenu,selectInstallation.
ObservethattheInstallationdialogboxopens.Thisdialogboxcontainsanumber
ofpagesselectedfromthemenuontheleftside.
3OntheleftsideoftheInstallationdialogbox,selectSensorInstallation.
4SelectAnnotationstoimportinformationfromtheperipheralsystem.
5Selecttheportyouwishtouse(serialorLAN).
