Disconnectingtransceiverchannels
InordertousetheES80,theProcessorUnitmustbeconnectedtooneormore
transceivers,andeachofthemmustinturnbeconnectedtooneormoretransducers.A
transceiverchannelcanbedisconnectedfromtheES80ProcessorUnit.Thisistypically
usefulifthetransceiverismeanttobeusedbyanotherProcessorUnitonanotherecho
soundersystem.Itisalsousefulifyouhavealargenumberofchannelsandwantto
reducethenumberofechogramviewsinyourpresentation.

TheTransceiverInstallationparameterscontroltheinstallationanddisconnectionof
transceivers.Everytimethepageisopened,theES80softwareautomaticallyperformsa
searchontheEthernetnetworkfortransceivers.
ThelistintheupperpartontheTransceiverInstallationpageshowsyouanoverview
ofthetransceiversandchannelsthatarecurrentlyavailable.Inthiscontext,thephrase
channelisusedasacommontermtoidentifythecombinationoftransceiver,transducer
andoperatingfrequency.Eachchannelisidentiedbythetransceivertypeandserial
numberandthetransducer(s)inuse.Thecurrentstatusforeachchannelisalsoprovided.
•Busy:Thechannelisalreadyinuse,probablybyanotherechosounderonthesame
network.Y oucannotconnecttothischannel.
•Installed:ThischannelisconnectedtoyourES80system.
