knowledgeofthedatacommunicationtoinvestigatethedatagrams.ThePort
Monitordialogboxisatoolfordebuggingpurposes.Itisneitherrequirednor
intendedfornormaloperationoftheES80.

AcatchmonitoringsystemcanbeconnectedtotheES80.Theconnectionismadeusing
aserialorLAN(Ethernet)portontheProcessorUnit.Foranysensorinterfacetowork,
thecommunicationparametersmustbesetupcorrectly.

Thisprocedureassumesthat:
•YouhaveavacantinterfaceportonyourProcessorUnit.
•YouarefamiliarwithNMEAandotherrelevantdatagramformats.
•Youknowhowtosetuptheparametersforserialandlocalareanetwork(LAN)
communication.
