TheFileSetupparameterscontrolhowandwheretherecordedlesaresavedonthe
ProcessorUnitharddisk,oronanexternaldisk.Byaddingalenameprex,youcan
alsoidentifylesrecordedfromanyspecicmissionorsurvey.Youcanalsodenea
maximumsizeofthedatales.
Tip
Dataleswillnormallybecomeverylarge.IfyouwishtorecordlargeamountsofES80
data,makesurethatyouhaveenoughspaceonyourharddisk.UnlessyourProcessor
Unitisequippedwithaverylargedisk,werecommendthatyousavethedatatoan
externalstoragedevice.
Setuptheleandfolderparametersbefore
youstarttherecording.Ifyouwishto
saveyourrecordeddataonanexternalharddisk,makesurethatitisconnectedto
theProcessorUnit.
Ifthecurrentlesizegetstoobigduringrecording,usetheSplitFilefunctiononthe
Recordbutton.Thiswillclosethecurrentle,andthenautomaticallycontinuerecording
toanewle.TheRecordfunctionislocatedontheOperationmenu.
DonotconfusetheRecordfunctionwiththeautomaticHistoryfunction.Unlessyou
reallyneedtorecordrawdataforplaybackpurposes,youshouldusethisfunctionwith
care.Thedataleswillllyouharddiskveryfast!TheHistoryfunctionsavesthe
echogramimages
automaticallyontheProcessorUnitharddiskTheseimagescanbe
recalledusingtheHistoryinformationpane.TheinformationintheHistorypresentation
isthesameasontheoriginalechogrampresentation.
