versionsmustalwaysbecompatible.
Prerequisites
InordertoupgradetheES80software,youneedtherelevantlesetonasuitablemedia.
IftheES80softwareisprovidedonaCDoraDVD,andyourcomputerisnotttedwith
asuitabledrive,copythelestoaUSBashdrive.
ItisassumedthatyouarefamiliarwiththeMicrosoft
®
operatingsystemutilitiesfor
lehandling.
Context
WhentheES80ispoweredupfornormaluse,thesoftwarechecksthattheoperation
softwareversionmatchesthesoftwareversionintheWideBandTransceiver(WBT).If
thereisamismatch,anerrormessagewillbeprovided.
Thesoftwaredownloadprocessissupportedbyseveraldialogboxeswithinformation.
Note
Beforeyouupdatethetransceiversoftware,makesurethatyouonlyhaveonecomputer
runningtheES80softwareinyournetwork.Thiscomputermustbeconnectedtoall
therelevanttransceivers.Recyclethepoweronthetransceiversbeforeyoudownload
thetransceiversoftware.
