InordertousetheES80,youmustrstturniton.Youmustrstturnonthedisplay,
theProcessorUnit,thetransceiver(s),andtheEthernetswitch(ifapplicable).Afterthis
youcanstarttheES80program.
Prerequisites
TheES80isinstalledasspeciedintheES80Installationmanual.MinimumoneWide
BandTransceiver(WBT)withoneormoretransducershasbeenconnected.Allrelevant
navigationsensorsareoperational.
Caution
YoumustneverstartES80transmissions("pinging")whentheshipisindrydock.The
transducermaybedamagedifittransmitsinopenair.
Procedure
1Makesurethateachtransceiveristurnedon.
2TurnonthedisplayandtheProcessorUnit,andstarttheES80program.
3OncetheES80programhasstarted,observethatthepresentationllstheentire
screen.
4OntheMainmenuinthetoprightcornerofthepresentation,selectUserSettings,
andthenchoosethedefaultsettings.
5AtthebottomoftheMainmenu,observethattheOperationmenuiconisashing.
ItisashingtoindicatethateveniftheES80isturnedon,"pinging"isdisabled.
TheES80isinNormalmode,butTXPowerissettoOfftopreventtransmission.
