1OpentheOperationmenu.
2SetPingModetoInterval.
3Specifytheintervalbetweeneach"ping".
aSelecteitherside(+or)ofthePingIntervalbuttontoselecttherequested
timebetweeneach"ping".
bSelectPingIntervaltoopenit,andtypetherequestedtimebetweeneach"ping".
Selecteithersideofthebuttontochooseavalue.Selectthemiddleofthe
buttontoopenit.IfyouhaveakeyboardconnectedtotheES80,youcantype
therequestedvalueintothetextbox.
Youcanalsochangethevaluebyselecting-andholding-themiddleofthe
button,andmovethecursorsideways.Movethecursortowardslefttoreduce
thevalue,ortowardsrighttoincreasethevalue.Releasethemousebutton
whentherequestedvalueisshowninthebutton.

Inordertomakecorrectmeasurementsofthetargetsinthewatercolumn,aswellasthe
currentdepth,youmustsetupthecorrectenvironmentalparameters.
Context
Inordertoobtainaccuratedepthreadingsandshechoes,itisveryimportantthat
thesoundspeedthroughthewaterissetcorrectly.Severalparametersarerequiredto
calculatethecorrectsoundspeedvalue.Iftheseparametersarenotknowntoyou,use
thedefaultvalue1494m/s.Thisisatypicalmeanvalueforsoundspeed.
