Installingoneormoretransducers
ThetransducersyouwishtousewiththeES80mustbe"installed"asapartofthe
softwareconguration.Whichtransducerstousedependsonthenumberoftransceivers
inyoursystem,andthelicensesyouhaveforthese.Unlessyoureplaceabroken
transducer,oraddanew,youonlyneedtodothisonce.
Prerequisites
ItisassumedthattheES80softwarehasbeeninstalled,andthatallrelevantlicense
stringshavebeenapplied.Y ouneedtoknowthetypeandserialnumberofeach
transducerthatyouwishtoinstall.
Context
EachtransducerisaddedusingtheTransducerInstallationpage.TheTransducer
InstallationpageislocatedintheInstallationdialogbox.
YoucanonlychooseatransducerfromtheModellist.Thelistisgeneratedfromasystem
leonyourProcessorUnit.Itcontainsallthetransducersthatarecompatiblewiththe
WideBandTransceiver(WBT),butsincethesoftwareiscommonforseveralsystems
theremayalsobenon-compatibletransducersinthelist.Thelistalsoincludestechnical
specicationsforeachtransducer.Youcannotseethisinformation,butitisusedby
theES80tosetuptheoperationalparameters.ThisallowstheWideBandTransceiver
(WBT)tooptimizeitsperformancefortheindividualtransducermodels.
Ifyoucannotndyourtransducerinthelist,contactyoudealer,agentorKongsberg
MaritimetoupgradetherelevantsoftwarecomponentintheES80.
