TheBottomechogramshowstheechoesoverandbelowthebottomcontour.Sincethis
echogramisreferencedtothebottom,theseasurfacewillvarywiththeactualdepth,
whilethebottomisdrawnat.Youcanselectthestartrange(thedepthfromwhichthe
echogramstarts)andtheverticalrange(thevertical"length"oftheechogram)bymeans
oftheStartRangeandRangesettings.BoththeRangeandtheStartRangefunctions
arelocatedontheMainmenu.
Howtoopen
ToactivateBottomechogram,clickinthechosenview
tomakeit"active".SelectEchogramontheActive
menu.SelecttheEchogramtabtoopenthepage.OntheEchogrampage,setEchogram
typetoBottom.
Description
ABottomechogramismainlyusedwhenyouwishtoexaminetheechoesfromsh
closetothebottom.SetuptheStartRangeandRangedepthstohidethesurfaceand
placethebottomcontouratthemiddleoftheechogram.Youcaninvestigatethebottom
conditionsandhardness,anddetectsh.
Note
Theechogramisonlydrawnforpingsthathaveasuccessfulbottomdetection.
SincetheBottomechogramisreferencedtothebottom,theStartRangevaluemustbe
negative
.Ifyouwishtostartyourechogramfrom10metersabovethebottom,you
mustsettheStartRangeto–10m.TheRangesettingdenestheverticalrangefrom
thestartdepthanddown.
