sourcedocumentandpasteitintotheTypeLicenseStringdialogbox.
7SelectOKtosavethelicensestringandclosetheTypeLicenseStringdialogbox.
8VerifythatthelicensestringisplacedintheCurrentlyactivelicenseslist.
Ifnecessary,selectthelicensestringontheleftside,andclickthearrowbutton[>]
tomoveittotheCurrentlyactivelicenseslist.
9SelectApplyandthenClosetosavealltheparametersandclosetheInstallation
dialogbox.

Thisprocedureassumesthat:
•YourexistingES80isoperationalwithallnecessarysoftwarelicensesinstalled.
•YouhaveanewcomputertobeusedasProcessorUnit.
•TheES80softwarehasbeeninstalledonthenewProcessorUnit.
•ThenewProcessorUnitisconnectedtothetransceiver(s).
Inordertodothistaskyouwillneedasmalltexteditor(forexampletheMicrosoft
®
Notepad)runningonbothcomputers.YouwillalsoneedaUSBashdrive.
Context
Thesoftwarelicenseisa32characterhexadecimalstringbasedonthetransceiver’sserial
number.Itdenesseveralkeyparametersthatcontrolthefunctionalityandbehaviour
ofthetransceiver(s)youuse.Eachsoftwarelicensecode"unlocks"oneWideBand
Transceiver(WBT)foroperationalusewithasetofpredenedproperties.
