InSlavemode,theES80waitsforthedelaytimeaftertheexternaltriggersignal
hasarrivedbeforetransmittingtheping.Thisisoftenreferredtoasapost-trigger.

Thisistheinterfaceportcurrentlyusedtotransmitorreceivesynchronization
signals.ItmustbeanRS-232serialport.Sincethesynchronizationfunctiononly
usestheRequestToSend(RTS)andClearToSend(CTS)signalsonaserialport,
youcanuseaportthatisalreadyusedforotherpurposes.Forthesamereason,
youdonotneedtodeneanybaudrate.

SynchronizingtheES80bymeansofaserialport
IfyouwanttousetheES80asamasterorslaveinasynchronizedsystem,youmustset
itupforsuchoperation.Todothis,youmustselectwhichcommunicationporttousefor
thesynchronizationinterface,andyoumustselecttherequestedsynchronizationmode.
Prerequisites
Thisprocedureassumesthat:
•Thevesselisberthedoratsea.
•YouhaveanRS2-232interfaceportonyourProcessorUnitthatallowsyoutousethe
CTS/RTSconnections.
For"slave"operation,aremotesystem(forexampleK-Sync)mustbeavailableto
providetriggerpulses.For"master"operation,aremotehydroacousticsystem(sonar,
echosounder)isconnected.Thisremotesystemmustbesetupin"slave"mode.
