TheCalculationIntervalsettingsdenetheparametersthatareusedtocalculatethe
biomassandthesizedistribution.Youcanbasethecalculationsonsaileddistance,
elapsedtime,oraportionoftheechogramview.
Context
Thebiomassandsizedistributionvaluesarecalculatedbasedontheechodatacollected
bytheES80.UsetheCalculationIntervalsettingstolimitthesourcedatausedbythese
calculations.Youcanbasethecalculationsondatacollected
•withinagiventimeframe
•fromadenednumberofpings
•fromthedatausedtocreateaportionofthecurrentview
TheCalculationIntervalparameterscanaccessedfromtwoplacesintheES80user
interface.
•ThepageisopenedintheInformationPaneOptionsdialogbox.
•ThedialogboxisopenedusingtheCalculationIntervalbuttonontheSetupmenu.
Theparametersarethesame,itdoesnotmatterifyouusethepageorthedialogbox.

Ifyouneedtomagnifyapartoftheechogramtostudydetails,youcanusetheZoom
informationpane.ThreeZoominformationpanescanbeopenedforeachchannel.
Context
TheZoominformationpaneallowsyoutomagnifyachosenareaofthecurrent
echogram.OncetheZoominformationpaneisopened,thezoomedareaisvisibleasa
dottedrectangleintheechogram.Youcanchangethesizeofthiszoomedarea,andyou
canmovetherectangleanywhereinsidetheactiveview.
