Accessing e-Genius
To access e-Genius:
1. Connect your computer to the camera HOST NET or IMAGE NET port using an
M12 to RJ45 Ethernet cable.
2. Turn on your laptop computer.
3. Configure your PC’s IP Address to be in the
same network as the port you are con-
nected to. See “Changing Your PC’s IP Address:” on page 90.
4. Open a web browser and enter the IP address for the unit. If the correct IP address
is en
tered, the Log On window appears.
The default setup IP address for AV7000 cameras is: 192.168.3.10 (Host), and 10.0.40.20
(Image). The default setup IP address for all AV500/AV900 cameras is: 192.168.3.10
(H
ost), and 10.0.40.20 (Image). You may want to redefine your IP addresses.
For each device you can define specific IP addresses for your Host, Image and Focus
Po
rts.
If you are operating a Redundant system, the controller IP is always 192.168.0.145 and
the secondary controller IP is 192.168.0.146.
5. Enter the User ID (de
fault is setup) and Password (default is DLAset) for your sys-
tem in the fields provided. Your site administrator may have modified these
def
aults.
6. Select a language from the Language drop-down list.
7. Select METRIC or IMPERIA
L from the Units drop-down list. All parameters which
require units of measure will be in the option you select, unless otherwise speci-
fied.
8. Click Log On.
If the user name and password are valid, the application enables all functions available
t
o the user and displays the System Info window.
NOTE: Host and Image IP ports have static IP addresses
, contact your IT
department for the correct IP addresses if they are not the defaults speci-
fied here.
