Operating Mode
In the menu tree under Modify Settings, navigate to Global Settings | Operating Mode.
The Operating Mode window opens. See section for an explanation of the Operating
Mode options.
The following parameters are important to be set to match the application:
1. Encoder Settings - Enc
oder Step Settings: See section Modify Settings | Global
Settings | Operating Mode > Encoder Step. Conveyor speed: Enter the conveyor
speed (Formula:
Max conveyor speed x 1.05). This is needed so the AV7000 sets the
exposure time parameter during calibration.

veyor width: Enter the width of the conveyor (the distance between left and
right focus offsets; See section

igger Source: Make sure the Trigger Active State is set correctly, To test this, nav-
igate to Diagnos
tics | Device Tracking. Run two boxes through the system. Con-
firm that the start and end trigger corresponds to the correct Seq N
umber.
4. Transmit Point Settings
Device Settings
In the menu tree under Modify Settings, navigate to Device Settings. Due to the mount-
ing differences among the AV7000 cameras in the system, each camera will be cali-
brated separately.
There will be a different Device Set
tings branch in the menu tree for each camera in the
array. See section for an explanation of the Device Settings options.

2. Enter a unique name for the camera. The new name will appear in the Name co
l-
umn on the Sy
stem Info window, and also in the menu tree under Device Settings.
