Mounting of rear windshield
Warning:
● Wear gloves in use of scraper to prevent
injury.
Caution:
● To prevent the sealant scratch, or glass
pushed out when the doors closed, all
windows shall be opened, until the sealant
hardened.
1. Before use of blade, cut old sealant on the
windshield frame and save a layer in thickness
of ca 1—2mm. If completely removing the
sealant on some part, a layer of primer shall be
smeared after the grease removed, and let it
dried for 30min, and then smear again new
sealant to form a layer in thickness of 2mm.
2. Clean the marginal band in width of 50.0mm
along the connection between the front
windshield and bodywork.
3. Stick damping strips 1 and 2 along 12.0mm
away from the upper edge of front windshield.
4. Fit the locking block into the hole;
5. Install temporarily the glass on the bodywork
and adjust the clearance between the glass and
bodywork;
6. Mark on the glass above the locking block
V—groove;
7. Confirm that the clearance of upper edge is
6mm and the lateral clearance 5mm.
8. Remove the rear windshield;
9. As shown in Fig., install the fixer on the
bodywork;
10. As shown in Fig., fit the fixer and locking
block on the glass (mark on the glass).
Caution:
● No oil stains and dust exist on the work
positions. No hand touch is allowed on the
surface to prevent inferior bonding effect on
surfaces of glass and bodywork that shall
result in water leakage.
11. Smear the primer, with a brush on the mating
parts of pedestal and glass. The glass primer
shall be applied on the glass. The bodywork
primer is only applicable to the pedestal, and
let the coating dry for about 30min.
12. After the primer dried, smear around the barrier
