FD 100/320Gbps NT and FX NT IHub Services Guide Internet Enhanced Service
Issue: 13 3HH-11985-AAAA-TQZZA 359

The DHCPv4 and DHCPv6 lease state is synchronized to the standby network card.
For DHCPv6, the managed neighbor cache and managed routes are also
synchronized to the standby network card. If the active network card fails, all DHCP
hosts stay active without service interruption.
Non-stop routing is supported in IES and VPRN configurations. Non-stop routing is
not supported/validated for RIP. Also, no state synchronization is provided for BFD
or Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE). Finally, note that non-stop routing support for
IS-IS is limited to support in the IES service, since IS-IS is not supported in VPRNs.
6.4 Configuring an IES Service with CLI
This section provides information to configure IES services using the Command Line
Interface (CLI).
Topics in this section include:
• Basic Configuration
• Common Configuration Tasks
• Configuring IES Components
• Configuring an IES Service
• Configuring IES Interface Parameters
• Configuring SAP Parameters
• Service Management Tasks
• Modifying IES Service Parameters
• Deleting an IES Service
• Disabling an IES Service
• Re-enabling an IES Service
6.5 Basic Configuration
The most basic IES service configuration has the following entities:
• Customer ID (refer to “Configuring Customers”)
• An interface to create and maintain IP routing interfaces within IES service ID.
• A SAP on the interface specifying the access or hybrid port and encapsulation
values.
The following example displays a sample configuration of an IES service on ALA-A.
