Syntax bfd transmit-interval [receive receive-interval][multiplier multiplier

Context configure>service>vprn>interface
Description This command specifies the bidirectional forwarding detection (BFD) parameters for the
associated IP interface. If no parameters are defined the default values are used.
The multiplier specifies the number of consecutive BFD messages that must be missed from
the peer before the BFD session state is changed to down and the upper level protocols
(OSPF, IS-IS, BGP or PIM) is notified of the fault.
The no form of the command removes BFD from the router interface.
Default no bfd
Parameters transmit-interval - Sets the transmit interval, in milliseconds, for the BFD session.
Values 100 — 100000
Default: 100
receive receive-interval - Sets the receive interval, in milliseconds, for the BFD session.
Values 100 — 100000
Default: 100
multiplier multiplier - Set the multiplier for the BFD session.
Values 3 — 20
Default: 3

Description This command configures the delay making interface operational by the specified number of
seconds
The no form of the command reverts to the default value.
Default 300 seconds
