asyoulike,andgivethem
anyname.Allthesettingsyou
havechosenusingfunctions
anddialogboxesintheES80
userinterfacearesaved.

FactorySettings
SometimesitmaybeusefultoresettheES80toworkwithasetofknownuser
settings.Asetof"factorysettings"isprovidedforthispurpose.
ThesesettingsarethedefaultvaluesprovidedwiththeSimradES80.Thesettings
maybeputtouseifyouareuncertainofwhichvaluestouse.Theyoffer"best
practice"settingsfortypicaluse.Whenyouwishtoapplythefactorysettings,a
smalldialogboxwillappeartorequestconrmation.
Thefactorysettingscannotbealtered.
Note
Unlesstheyaresaved,allyourcurrentsettingsarelostwhenthefactorysettings
areapplied.
SavedSettings
"Savedsettings"arethosecreatedandsavedbyyouandotherES80users.
Eachsettingisidentiedbyitsname,aswellasthetimeanddateitwascreated.
Thesesettingsmaybedeletedorrenamed.Youcansaveanunlimitednumberof
prolesettings,onlylimitedbythesizeoftheharddiskonyourProcessorUnit.
ActivateSelectedSetting
Usersettingsthateitheryouoranyofyourcolleagueshavesavedcaneasilybe
retrievedandputtouse.Thisshortensdownthetimeittakestogetstartedwith
theES80.
Toactivateeitherafactoryorasavedsetting,clicktherelevantnameinoneofthe
lists,thenclicktheActivateSelectedSettingbutton.
