IfyouwishtohaveyourProcessorUnitconnectedbothtotheship’ snetworkandtoa
numberoftransceivers,westronglyadviceyoutousetwoEthernetadapters.Useone
fortheship’ snetwork,andallowittoobtainitsIPAddressautomatically.Usethe
otherEthernetadaptertocommunicatewiththetransceiver(s),anddeneyourownIP
Address.
TheIPAddressassignedtoeachtransceiverwillautomaticallyusethesameaddress
rangeastheaddressgiventotheProcessorUnit.Ifyouareanadvanceduser,youcan
usetheparametersprovidedtocontroltheseaddresses.
Example
IfyouhavesetupyourProcessorUnitIPAddressto157.237.52.100,theIP
Address(es)tothetransceiver(s)willalwaysstartwith157.237.TheIP3and
IP4elementsarechosenautomaticallywithintherangesdened.Ifyouhave
threetransceivers,theymaybeprovidedwithIPAddresses157.237.52.101,
157.237.52.102and157.237.52.103.
Thisfunctionalityisprovidedforadvancedusers.Weassumethatyouarefamiliarwith
Ethernetcommunicationandtherelevantparameters.
