Tray and Media Errors
Paper Empty
The Paper Empty Sensor indicates the Tray is missing or empty.
Applicable Error Message
■ Tray 1 or Tray 2 Paper Empty
Initial Actions
■ Check the sensor actuator for damage or obstructions.
■ Cycle printer power.
■ If the problem persists, refer to the following procedure.

Main Controller Board CN13 and the
Paper Empty Sensor.
Is the connection secure?

connections.
3 Check for +3.3 V at CN13-1.
Is +3.3 V present at CN13-1?.

Main Controller
Board

4 Check the continuity of the connection
between the Main Controller Board
and the Paper Empty Sensor.
Is the harness damaged?
Repair the
harness.
Replace the Bin
