9. Use line (A) or value (B) to determine sensitivity setting.
NOTE:
The setting can be adjusted from 0100%. When
sensitivity is adjusted to 0%, signals from sensing
bands have no effect on automatic cutting height
adjustment. When sensitivity is adjusted to 100%,
signals from sensing bands have maximum effect on
automatic cutting height adjustment. The recommended
starting point is 50%.
Setting Cutting Height (CLAAS 500 Series)
Cutting heights can be programmed into preset cutting height and auto contour systems. Use preset cutting height
system for cutting heights above 150 mm (5.9 in.), and use auto contour system for cutting heights below
150 mm (5.9 in.).

Changes may have been made to the combine controls or display since this document was published. Refer to the
combine operators manual for updates.
1. Start engine.
2. Activate machine enable switch.
3. Engage threshing mechanism.
4. Engage header.

5. Briefly press button (A) in order to activate auto contour
system, or briefly press button (B) in order to activate
preset cutting height system.
NOTE:
Button (A) is used only with auto header height control
(AHHC) function. Button (B) is used only with return to
cut function.
