13. Adjust the backsheet deflector (A) (if required) by
loosening nut (D) and moving the deflector until there is
a17 mm (1/325/16 in.) gap (C) between draper (B)
and the deflector.
5.12.6 Side Draper Roller Maintenance
The draper rollers have non-greaseable bearings; however, the external seal should be checked every 200 hours
(more frequently in sandy conditions) to achieve maximum bearing life.
Inspecting Side Draper Roller Bearing
Check for bad draper roller bearings using an infrared thermometer as follows:

1. Engage the header and run the drapers for
approximately 3 minutes.
2. Check the temperature of the draper roller bearings at
each of the roller arms (A), (B), and (C) on each deck.
Ensure the temperature does not exceed 44°C (80°F)
above the ambient temperature.

DANGER
To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected start-up or fall of a raised machine, always stop engine
and remove key before leaving the operators seat, and always engage safety props before going under
the machine for any reason.
NOTE:
If the draper connector is not visible, engage the header until the connector is accessible (preferably close to the
outboard end of the deck).
