29. Connect knife and draper drive hydraulic hoses (B) at
bracket.
30. Attach electrical connector (B).

31. Connect the quick disconnects (if installed) as follows:
a. Remove the covers (if installed) from the
receptacles and hose ends.
b. Check the connectors and clean if necessary.
c. Push the hose connector (A) onto the mating
receptacle (B) until the collar on the mating
receptacle snaps into the lock position.
NOTE:
Ensure the hoses are clear of the driveline and
adjacent structure.
NOTE:
It is not necessary to bleed the system by
loosening fittings.
32. Check the float and confirm the header is level. Refer to the following:
Checking and Adjusting Header Float, page 59
3.9 Levelling the Header, page 246
CAUTION
Be sure all bystanders are clear of machine before starting engine or engaging any header drives.
33. Start the combine and perform the following inspections:
Raise and lower the reel to ensure the hoses are properly connected.
Run the header to ensure the hoses are properly connected.
34. Check for leaks.
